PARTYING IN THE KEYS

It's not like the olden days,
it's more commercial now,
but there are still places to party
and friendly people to show you how.

We watched an Atlantic sun rise,
spent all day on the beach,
then watched it set over the Golf
and all we did was cross the street.

We made love as the sun was setting,
the sand our only sheet.
When the sun came up in the morning
we sunburned both our cheeks.

The water was crystal clear,
a cross between green and blue
and the temperature was perfect
for anything you'd care to do.

We spent a whole day snorkeling,
and another enjoying the sights.
Party time in the Florida Keys,
is paradise day or night.

We went all around the island
peddling a tandem bike,
to Marguaritaville with Buffet
and heard a Marley sound alike

We watched some Hemmingway wannabe's
the sun setting in the background,
then headed back to the beach
planning our next go around.

We visited a marker,
the southern most point in all the U S A
I've been much further south,
but that's a story for another day.

Eventually we'll have to go home,
oh how we rue the day,
but we'll be back again next year
and we'll plan a longer stay.
