MISSING YOU
Seems we’ve been apart so long
my arms just plain forgot.
Is this how you hold her?
Maybe,,,,,,,,, maybe not.
My arms may want to hold you,
but they’re more than willing to share.
They’ve offered to let my hands
run their fingers through your hair.
My lips just can’t remember,
is this the shape we make?
When she gets close to us,
should we give or should we take?
My tongue has been so lonely
it asked me what’s the deal?
You should use me for something
besides tasting every meal.
My fingers want to touch you,
just try to cop a feel.
Then they’ll ask their neighbors,
is it Memorex, or is she real?
My brain thinks that it’s in love
my heart believes it too.
I ask them who they’re in love with,
they both claim it’s you.
My Willie wants to snuggle,
said he’d like to be your pal.
Said, if you’d be his forever
he’d forsake every other gal.
My whole body’s bearing up
and it appears that I’ll survive.
Just knowing that I’ll see you soon
makes me so happy to be alive.
Be always safe,
Karen
