THE GIRL IN MY DREAMS
I’m now in my sixties
and still, we’re apart.
If we’re to ever be together,
we’ll soon need to start.
When I get into my seventies,
I might be too old to dance,
but I hope we’ll still be able
to share in a little romance.
Then I’ll be in my eighty’s,
probably still longing for you,
but when we finally find each other
I’ll be too old to screw.
If I make it to ninety
and I’m still able to walk,
we might have to have verbal sex,
if I’m still able to talk.
I could be sixty or ninety,
or even a hundred don’t you see,
there’ll never be a time
when you won’t belong with me.
But, when they call my number
and my time is nearly over,
my last thoughts will be of you
and our roll in the clover.
You’ll know that I loved you,
I’ll know you loved me.
And, we’ll always be together,
wherever we might be.
No matter what the outcome,
still, it will always come out,
you’ll always be the one
I was dreaming about.
