'Twas not my lips you kissed but my soul.  ~Judy Garland

Eternal Ambrosia

The promise of ambrosia, as your lips so gently brush mine
Forbidden fruit for mortals, this fare for those divine
Intoxicating kisses, distort all sense of time
Hours pass as seconds, as clocks stand mute and blind

Captivation beckons like hunger after fast
Abstinence between each kiss....sensations seem so vast
Disorder, sensuality, a mania to task
A pattern's been established, our escapade to last

I feel the glow within your soul and pull your love to me
From mind, to heart, to mouth, to lips, desire is the key
Your silent kisses speak of love and passions ecstasy
The promise of ambrosia..............anoints avidity

Wowsers! Always good, Anita.
Also sounds like you've got the hang of this music stuff too. I've found the "do your own music link" for you. Remind me to send it.

Goodness me! Sudden blood-rush and tightening of the tingling nerve-ends with this one, Anita! Feel like my air-supply has just been cut off... oh, that's his kiss! Vivid and 3-D...virtual reality is here! Scintillating, TY Kate xx

Terrific command of the language and the beauty matches that of the picture accompanying. Fine stuff, Lady. Please try my Long Gone Love and Old Souls. Give me your opinion, please. Jerry- and thanks for the good review on my other poem.
