When you rise to greet the daybreak
Think not of the early light
Or the tasks that you must partake
Long before you rest at night
The workday might be distressing
And filled with its share of trials
But, look to your inner blessings
And you’ll find strength in your smile.
When the sunlight seems to falter
To a place behind the clouds
And your thoughts begin to alter
Trapped among the maddened crowds
Just remember that you’re gifted
And will face each task in style
For your spirit shall be lifted
Once you find strength in your smile.
When you view the bright illusion
Of your workday’s memory
You will come to the conclusion
That some things are meant to be
The workday might be repressive
And at times, even hostile
But the tasks can be impressive
If you find strength in your smile.

Beautiful, empowering, encouraging write. :) I'm saving this one to read in the mornings before I go to work.
I may "only" be a silverware roller, but I'll be the best one I can be with the right attitude! Thank you.
