Throughout my life, I’d often dreamed
Of what I would become
And many times, or so it seemed
I left my goals undone
Because of you, I can now see
The path I’m meant to stride
I thank you for your faith in me
And for staying by my side.

The skies are so much clearer now
The days are warmer, too
No one could ever disavow
My gratefulness for you
You’ve brought direction to my heart
You’ve been a guiding light
And played an everlasting part
In why I choose to write.

Throughout my life, I’d often dreamed

The thought was quite surreal
But, thanks to you, I understand
The way I’m meant to be
Because you kindly reached your hand
And showed your faith in me.
