Not everyone could shoulder
The load that you must bear
Yet, for that load, you’re bolder
Than most people are aware
You, freely, share your talent
Despite what this life brings
Your attitude is gallant
And embraces simpler things.

You do not fear imperfection
You laugh at every flaw
When you look back in reflection
Over life’s beauty and awe
You heed the passage that was paved
For your life, openly
Because each challenge that you braved
Led to your destiny.

Not everyone could shoulder
The weight that you endure
Yet, for that weight, you’re bolder
You are wiser and secure
You, freely, share your insight
With gracefulness and style
And it is a sheer delight
To be with you, awhile.
