Within the Clearing

A poem about finding love when it is the least expected.

Saturday, December 30, 2006

Poem Artwork

A bitter rain fell from above
One early winter morn
But when it ceased, a gift of love
Was waiting to be born
Within the clearing came a beam
That shone of destiny
For two lost lives who chose to dream
Of blissful harmony.

For many years, the two had strolled
Down life’s oft crooked trail
Alone, each seemed to have controlled
Their own needs, without fail
But when the rain began to pour
Their souls were prone to harm
And each found they were looking for
The warmth of someone’s arms.

Within the clearing came a light
That shone for days anew
Gracing a path made bold and bright
By love, righteous and true
Shared by two souls who chose to dream
Of thoughts, once deemed arcane
They found among each sunlit beam
After the bitter rain.

This is so real to life, in that many refrain from seeking after being hurt, then when least expected...two lost souls meet!
"Within the Clearing" is the only place it could ever come to light!
Fantastic write jill~
Love and Peace~

This was a beautiful poem. Love is just like that. The rain must have prepared the way for the seeds of love to sprout.

BEAUTIFUL!
God Bless,
Lew
