Heart Prints

by Jill Eisnaugle — Read all 611 poems by Jill Eisnaugle

A poem for the members of society whose selfless acts are highly appreciated, although not always acknowledged through the realm of spoken recognition. The purpose of this poem is to show these "seemingly unrecognized" persons how much of a difference they do make in our lives and in the lives of others.

Each person has a special trade
That makes our time unique
A quality that shall not fade
As life moves, week-to-week
A simple task, a simple deed
Performed in loving care
Our noble acts serve those in need
Yet, we are unaware.

We seldom see our actions bring
A smile upon each face
We rarely hear the children sing
Or feel the sense of grace
We leave within the souls of those
Indebted to our skill
Despite the fact the whole world knows
We, likely, never will.

Each person has a special trade
That stands above the rest
A quality the Lord has made
To prove our lives are blessed
While we may never come to know
What sets our skills apart
Our legacy will always show
In prints left on the heart.

This one is truly a blessing and thoughtful reminder what we are doing, when we doing for the glory of God is always heard, even by the lease of man! A treasure I will keep!
Thank you so much!

Love it and especially the title line "prints upon our heart" that is just so...warm and cudly with lots of warm fuzzys.
