A poem for everyone fighting breast cancer.

Sunday, June 17, 2007

Poem Artwork

Show the world your headstrong way
Even on a cloudy day
Meet the rain, with head held high
Spread your wings; then, touch the sky
You have control over your fight
Embrace your will, with fearless might
Should you do this, by dusk you’ll be
Nearer to your victory.

Show the world the soul inside
There’s no need to run or hide
You’re beautiful, this much is known
Please know that you’re not alone
Thousands join you in your goal
Yearning to again be whole
You are down, but you’re not out
You will triumph; I’ve no doubt.

Show the world your courage, dear
Carry on and have no fear
Cancer may be at your door
But, you are braver than before
Treat each hour as a gift
Should your spirit need a lift
Soon, your battle will be done
And you will say, “At last, I’ve won!”
