Trapped in darkness, all alone
Longing for a way back home
Facing hardship on your own
With no space in which to roam
Yearning for a light; a sign
You sit quietly and wait
Hoping things will turn out fine
Only God knows your true fate.
Miles above the world you’ve known
All your friends can do is hope
Somewhere ‘neath the shroud of stone
You have found a way to cope
Something went terribly wrong
Now, you must fight to survive
We realize your hearts are strong
Knowing this, keeps faith alive.
Though, our paths have never crossed
I will express a silent prayer
That you’ll be rescued and not lost
Amid the burdens you must bear
We’ll keep our faith within arms’ length
As you wait, miles below the ground
Bless these six men with added strength
Until they are finally found.

I pray they find them alive...and for their families, whatever the result. An excellent, compassionate write.
