The light found deep inside of you
Beams brightly from your heart
Reaching across the skies of blue
Whenever we’re apart
You are this life’s most sacred dream
The answer to my prayer
And my face cannot help but beam
Each moment that we share.

Your innocence is sweet and pure
You are, indeed, a gem
And if, of one thing, I am sure
Our love is not a whim
The time we’ve spent is more surreal
Than my poetic prose
But, words cannot state how I feel
Each day, the feeling grows.

I am merely a simple guy
Forever lost in love
I can’t give you the sun and sky
Or the heavens above
But, parted, I can be no more
You’re my essence; my soul
I cannot say what lies in store
Yet, with you, I am whole.

I promise you will have my heart
Until my dying day
I’ve loved you from the very start
And beside you, I’ll stay
You are my breath; my everything
Each reason for my life
Therefore, I offer you this ring
