My dear, I know you are the one
My heart was meant to find
Your goodness shines, just like the sun
And brings peace to my mind
Though, I have no way of knowing
What the future has in store
Right now, my soul is glowing
Brighter than ever before.

I know you’ll keep me safe from harm
As we travel each mile
The roads with you are nice and warm
Thanks to your beaming smile
You look beyond each quirk and doubt
To see the dreams I hide
My life would mean much less without
Your love, here by my side.

My dear, I know while moments fade
Our love will surely grow
You are the gift, for which I’ve prayed
The heart I’ve needed so
I’m sure the best is yet to be
On this path, we’ve begun
But, when it comes to loving me
You are the only one.
