With the morning sunrise, a new chance appears
To warm someone’s heart or bring their eyes to tears
A smile and a wave or a quick phone call –
These small acts of kindness take no time at all
When we make the time to bless someone’s day
Our own lives will be blessed in a special way
Since no greater duty could ever compare
With showing another the extent we care.

A moment of goodness will soon be in store
If we help a neighbor to finish a chore
Or visit someone who lives all alone –
The gesture will be the greatest we have known
By planting a tree in a park, we assure
A part of our legacy will thrive and endure
If we give to others, each day that we live
The world will be brighter for the love we give.

With the morning sunrise comes a chance to grow
When we spread compassion in this world we know
Through sharing goodwill, our actions will place
A beautiful smile upon every face
The sky above will shine a bright sun-filled ray
If we take the time to bless someone’s day
There is no end to the difference we can make
Through the acts of kindness in which we partake.
