Gladness cannot always be
Down your path of destiny
But, with faith, I know you’ll find
God will grant some peace of mind
When this life becomes a test
Be assured that He knows best
At this time, your soul may yearn
Yet, your wishes will return.

Sorrowed hours can harm the heart
Leading dreams to fall apart
Through the pain, one thing is clear
God’s embrace is always near
He knows how special you are
Even if from miles afar
Should a darker hour arrive
Trust in Him and you’ll survive.

Clouds leave doubt as shadows loom
Sadness flows from room to room
In the storm, one light remains
Shining through the windowpanes
Sunbeams share God’s healing touch
When this world becomes too much
Every time this life turns gray
Hope is found in each sunray.
