To the one I have yet to find
I hope you’re doing great
I pray that you have peace of mind
And goodness on your plate
Although our hearts have yet to meet
I think of you, each night
To have you near would be so sweet
Yet, you’re still out of sight.

Sometimes, I wonder when you’ll come
Or, if you'll come, at all
The thought of you can leave me numb
Proof that I long to fall
For someone with a heart as true
As that, seen in my dreams
Yet, time moves on and I’m still blue
Alone ‘neath the moonbeams.

I realize that I may not be
The greatest soul on earth
I’ve no doubt you’re better than me
As someone filled with worth
And yet, I feel if we would start
With one relaxed hello
Soon, we would find we share one heart
Leading our love to grow.

To the one I have yet to find
I hope you’ll hear my plea
I pray our stars will be aligned
And you’ll come near to me
With help from the Father, above
Soon, I won’t be alone
As you extend a precious love
I shall claim as my own.
