You’ve been a constant in my life
You’ve freely shared your soul
When pain has cut me like a knife
You’ve helped to mend the hole
I miss you when you’ve gone away
I grieve when we’re apart
My dear, it is now safe to say
You’re wrapped around my heart.
You’ve welcomed me with opened arms
When I’ve needed to vent
You’ve dazzled me with all your charms
Traits that are Heaven sent
You’ve been my strength when I’ve been weak
My friend, right from the start
Although, I have often been meek
You’re wrapped around my heart.
You’ve cared about me, since day one
Your fondness never wavered
Though, our journey has just begun
‘tis you I’ve always favored
I’m blessed to have you by my side
This fact I must impart
Our love can never be denied
You’re wrapped around my heart.

I don't know what to say. Yeah, I do (I deserve every word) HA!! I'm kidding. I am not the "dear." I can't even come close to topping you. (I can't top your poetry, either!) Thank you, sweetie and thanks for always putting up with me; this poem is too flawlessly written and I don't feel worthy. Yet, that said, I can certainly think of worse places to be "wrapped."
