Not long after your time to fly
And God reached for your hand
A gleaming sunset crossed the sky
Smiling upon the sand
The brilliant shades of orange and red
From your Heavenly home
Granted us hope for days ahead
Reflected in sea foam.
Each sunlit beam streaked toward the ground
And softly touched the earth
Without ever making a sound
The sunset proved great worth
The vibrant tones and lighter rays
Reminded us of you
Your memory, here with us always
In each day-ending hue.
Your loss shrouded our hearts in grief
The void is much to bear
Yet, we have found so much relief
In knowing you are there
We are assured when evening nears
You’ll stop to say hello
And, soon, memories shall cease the tears
Thanks to your sunset’s glow.

I hope your heart is truly being comforted by the sunset's glow.

Sunsets touch me so deeply but often I couldn't find why.
This is a wonderful way to touch, hold, and connect.
