Wide oceans of heartache my life has endured
With waves of despondence surpassing the bliss
For years it had seemed that each prayer was unheard
Then salvation came in the form of a kiss
The beautiful meeting of your lips and mine
Erased every sorrow I had ever known
The stormy seas parted and the sun did shine
And I knew I’d never again be alone
I see you and know I am where I belong
I hold you and know that my heart is free
A tempest may bellow but, with you, I’m strong
And certain I am where the Lord planned for me
Should the skies be graying with thickening gloom
I can still see clearly and straight to the stars
My soul’s barren wasteland has welcomed love’s bloom
And the sacred lifetime that we now call ours
Thick forests of darkness my life has traversed
With plant life so dense no light could be seen
Indeed, of the hardships, I have seen the worst
Yet, perched amid the vast, sprawling evergreens
I found a blessing, known to a mere few
A glimmer of joy in a valley of pain
I found my true purpose the day I met you
You’re my love, my life, and the hope in my rain

And erasing every sorrow just make place for new ones, better take a dive in the optimism pool and float away in contentment.
