Our Dearest Lord, this much I pray
In Your heavenly name
Please bless my friends, in every way
For they have done the same
They’ve stood beside me, faithfully
They’ve been there through each storm
Their trust has filled the heart of me
With love, beyond the norm
My friends are angels, one and all
Each is special and kind
Because of them, I’m standing tall
Our lives are intertwined
In darkness, they have been my dawn
My will to trudge ahead
I pray their goodness carries on
By Your grace, they are led
From morning ‘til the starlight fades
Hold my friends in Your care
Let only sunlight touch their shades
Be their strength everywhere
Please, Lord, I ask you shine a light
Upon these precious dears
For they deserve the pure delight
They’ve brought me, o’er the years
