The Castaway

The Castaway.

Tomorrow we will bring you back to life,
They told the castaway, who had returned
From the dead with a photo of his wife,
For words of his experience they spurned,
To know what it is to have harrowed hell.
Safe again & saved, he was as before,
Only be thankful with nought else to tell,
The only truth, civilisation's law.

They mirrored selves now beyond recognition.
Only one felt threatened & sought controle,
Cared not where it came from that light which shone,
He who had gained a soul must lose a soul.
He will be bought back for a day to life
But now with a photo of his ex wife.

Gift of Tongues
