The one who stands before you
is alike to you as the one who
stands before you is alike like
the one who stands before you.
Neither of you saw what the other
saw as the mirror sealed your kiss.
But that kiss emptied the mirror
so that it saw not you alike, alike:
the mirror is an image of the dead.
