o’er marsh reed
shadow pole skim
sedge, waterwalker.
phantom & slim
spidery limb in the gloam’s
fair shire fetch.
shadow pole coracle,
daub & wattle,
to the water’s edge.
through flute reeds
i call o’er ridge & weir
forth waterwalker
from the land of yore,
of hut & coracle
& shadow pole.
keeper of your lady’s isles,
bear me there
across the waters
murk & clear,
through burnished
copper golden briar skiv me
to my lyre, through
the land of many colours
to her shore,
to her smile, for
you waterwalker
from this fair shire.

"Fair Shire", the poem... This was carved to perfection on a sandalwood board... This answers why Poetry is The Princess of the Arts.

Hello Robin!
I wish to apologize with all my heart for not having dropped by and reviewed any of your poems of late. I have been extremely busy publishing 3 poetry E-Zines, in which many of you have been featured. One of my cats just died yesterday, December 24. In additiona, I have been much disillusioned with Author's Den. However, I shall try and make up for not having at least visited your AD, by dropping by more often in future, especially in 2004.
I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2004.
Also, re your haikus. They are all exquisite! Please submit them all to me for publication in the Spring issue of CZH. They are so very suited to the mood of early Spring.
Please do drop by my neglected den and review once in a blue moon. I would be appreciative.
Most sincerely yours,
Your friend as ever,
