I sought... and found... 28 years ago. The list I made is now a fond memory and a poem for all to enjoy.

Poem Artwork

I once was double
But now I'm one
I'm ready to start over
And I've just begun

I'll make a list
Of the traits I desire
The perfect man
Who will light my
fire

He must be kind,
Gentle and true
A man of faith
To name a few

Singles parties,
The bar scene
Are not my style
I'll stay true to my list
And just wait awhile

I look for you everywhere
A man-searching spree
You may be looking also...
Perhaps you'll find me.

You do not settle for anything less
but the perfect fit who is the best
you know he stands above all the rest
simply because with you he is blessed

Nicely done Joy, First question. So how did it work out?

Second question. 28 years later, any changes to the list?

I like digging back through some of my earlier stuff. This looks like it was a fun journey.

Thanks Dick

Hope springs eternal, Joy,
and i never deny its virtues
...nor do you in this uplifting poem;
you've set the bar high but why not
strive for quality and real commitment?

"I look for you everywhere"

Except singles parties and the bar scene.

"He must be kind,
Gentle and true
A man of faith"

All this kinda narrows down the search, but worth it if you find what you desire. Of course these men who come off as kind and gentle and true, sometimes changes after they say I do.

Good luck, I hope he is out there for you.

Oh woe is me
For things I don't see
Had I found you first
Would have saved your thirst

Would have shortened your list
Had I not have missed
This gift of life
Just to make you my wife

Joy, this is tongue-in-cheek so please don't be upset! I enjoyed "The List" as I enjoy all your works. Just keep me your friend on FaceBook and in real life.
