Poem Artwork

Green eyes stare down at me eagerly
I whisper your name breathlessly
As I drift on passion’s sea
Love fills my heart as you fill me
Joined as one, as it should be
Forever is promised silently
As we touch with such urgency
And kiss ever so passionately
Our bodies tingle hotly
*
As we know each other intimately
Our hearts pound excitedly
Our bodies entwine unitedly
Seared together tightly
Moving, building slowly
Towards the shore of ecstasy
Take me, make me, and love me
The woman I am, complete me
Strong hands touch me so tenderly
Love me always so dearly
Give to always so freely
*
The smile you give so warmly
The love you give so openly
I dream of her, forming inside me
Our love made whole, our baby Anna Lee
Half you and half me
A warm sweet smile like her mommy
And green eyes like her daddy
Oh! How happy we will be
Especially me, when I look around and see
Two sets of green eyes
staring lovingly back at me

A captivating poem, Denise. I can hear the song "Green Eyes" by Coldplay as I read your verses. Thank you for sharing this gift. Love and best wishes,
