In the pre-dawn light, I watch you sleep
and silently, I wonder of the tranquil feelings
inside me of how lying beside you can
quietly calm the chaos in my life
Have I fallen?
How does the touch of your hands,
like salve, heal the lingering pain of my past
You've given me back all that I lost you
have become my better half
Have I fallen?
I've looked into eyes, but never before
eyes that reach to my very core
why is your kiss the taste that I desire
and that look in your eyes, that sets my soul on fire
Have I fallen?
Could there ever be another,
who's laughter can bring joy to my fluttering
heart, who's smile leaves a touch of sun within
no, never before, not ever!
Have I fallen?
I lay here gentley stroking your hair,
and softly kissing your mouth, I am filled
with such serenity and a hope I've never felt before
from your tender loving care
Have I fallen?
As sleep finally claims me, I smile knowingly
The answer is yes, I have fallen
ever so deeply.
