I sit at the table waiting nervously
I don't see him, but he sees me
so I finish my drink, and rise to go
thinking he's not going to show
I look around hopefully
searching for his face, once more
suddenly, the music stops
and the spotlight shines
on the dance floor
out of the shadows of
the darkened room
a deep voice asks seductively
"Beautiful one, may I have this dance?"
heart pounding, I turn
as he enters my space
and a slow song begins to play
as I step into his waiting embrace....

And we begin our first dance
he smiles down at me,
and whispers softly
"the stars in the dusky night skies,
match the twinkle in your amber eyes"
we spin slowly, and he holds me
close to his heart
the purple passions between us
begin to start
desire flows softly, and our bodies
move fluidly, to love's gentle tune

We glide across the floor
in perfect rhythym
our body language tells me
this is just the beginning
of a lifelong harmony

This night holds the promise
