Sweet tendrils of sunshine caress my face
morning light brings heat to my body
as you brought heat to my soul in the night
soft cajoling chirps of birds on my windowsill
reminds me of your playful banter and laughter
your scent remains from our morning parting
impregnates the warmth left under the covers
I snuggle down deep, rolling so it will cling to me

Dear Heart:

We were one for only moments in time, our love
so strong it rocked the foundation of life. Knowing
this is all we would ever have made the loving
more rich.
Throwing caution to the wind you came to me
you did not creep but sauntered in boldly,
took what was to be yours with little caution.
I returned what was yours with a pride in my lust.
Igniting what felt like the fires of hell burning deep
in my loins, we drank deep to put them out with
lovers milk.
Not desiring to miss a moment we talked in afterglow,
of life's dreams and reality.  Pledging undying faith
