The Raven appears to me at night
She soars and lands in my head
Her apparition my heart’s delight
In my dreams we share my bed
The Raven is the wind’s daughter
A sexy jokester who stole my heart
My visions are permeated with her
Losing her love would tear me apart
Can the wind’s daughter be tamed?
She is wild and free soaring above
Even after my love is proclaimed
Would she could be my turtledove!
Alas it’s really only a futile fantasy
All her real suitors are far superior
And emphasize my own inadequacy
Their youth leaves me feeling inferior
So I love her in my heart and dreams
Knowing that our union is never to be
Never can I embrace her form it seems
So now I dream and from reality flee.
