Poem Artwork

Windy wisps of perfumed air
across my dry and leathery face
velvet feel of your skin
it can never be replaced
as I slip from the confines
of this global stew, where so many
fight and try not to understand
I dream of loving you, each day in my mind
But frailty has taken this man.
I hope the pictures you recall
in some memory
will be of one who loved you true
but had a higher call

~*~

Moments we are given
precious and so few
dreams I had
of toucing you
soon all that will not matter
for another realm awaits
Being with you was my desire
taking me one step higher
pictures I keep in my heart
one second here
another apart
love awaits
on the other side
