I gave you my words in writing

Knowing it's not worth fighting

I cannot fight for what can't be mine

Even though there once was a time

We gave up on each other back then

Part of our hearts stuck in the past

More than a friendship now lasts

Is it possible to love two

I wouldn't want my foot in the other shoe

It would break my heart

Until then I pretend
