Love's last reign lasted for what seemed
To be a millenium.
Alas the end was swift,
The end was strong,
The end was deadly.
With a fierce but hasty strike,
All was lost.
All happiness.
All harmony.
All hope.
And with it came ages of gloom
To shadow the realm for eons.
The corporeal spirit seemed to be a demigod.
However it was more like a daemon.
Perverting emotions like a Dali masterpiece.
Leaving only a twisted form in its wake.
The soul was left to be devoured by despair.
For such cannot survive
When the porticullis is raised
And the bulwark is stripped.
As it only leaves a shell.
With a dreadful force entombed,
To be taken and used for scrap.
Thus love's last reign was expulsed
And the loneliness
Of a thousand cursed souls
But remains..
