Sometimes tehbest things happen by ....

We were like a couple of old drunks

Stumbling along trying to hold each other up

The funny part was we did not care if we fell

The bed was warm her kisses warmer

Joys shared and shared again like sweet wine

The night rolled on and on into the sun

Bouncing off the lake

Flat bottom woke me from the sweet dream

She smiled at me from the reeds playfully exposing

more flesh than I had seen in years

We laughed at our nakedness, too old to accept the fact

of what had occurred the night before

Too embarrassed to ask how we got here.

The bed of grass cleared our heads

as I enjoyed everything she offered.

It was like making love on the back seat of a Greyhound bus

Bound for no where, timing was everything

Spent the day getting to know love and life again

Warm the sun and the breeze as each wave of love

brought back the memories of passion spent

Comfortable as two lovers left in each other for years

The rhythm of the oars and waves blend into one sound

It was the sound of love born of need and want resolved

Did we meet again, many times

But never was the feeling the same as the day

two drunks stumbled trying to hold each other up

and fell in love
