Until It's Time

by Myra Wexler Darwish — Read all 62 poems by Myra Wexler Darwish

A love of 62 years, so many beautiful things to remember, and still there are things to share.
The hours march on, and yet, they remain in love as they always have been, together, hand in hand.

 UNTIL IT’S TIME

By, Myra Wexler Darwish

Let the days move on,
Let us live our lives,
In sweetness
Till we die.

Time beckons us,
As we hear the call;
The trumpets
Sound the cry.

For it is
The unknown
That drives us on,
Hands together still.

Walking paths
Filled with
Golden hours...
Until, until, until.

I read this to my wife, Myra. A touching insight we both enjoyed. Your line- "Hands together still" is a great image that says much. Congratulations. r

May there be, many many more. My folks were together 62 years. They weren't always calm years, but they learned, in time to enjoy about it to the fullest together.
