Divine Intervention

I, once transgressed by pain
unfold coverlets of thought
pushing behind the egress of the past
awaiting the rebirth of my soul
the darkness lurking like dead meat
once chewed and devoured
hastily without comprehension
as though my blood was lucid
and my mind flawless
though the illusion became a reality
and I mourned for the ordinance
which haunted me
like an insect caught on a web
the brilliant light aglow
appeared through the compulsion
of my impulse
and flickers now ablaze
were once saturated
by the obscurity of my mortal capacity
gems once stolen
were crowned once again
upon the gray matter
within my skull
a percipient precept
to divine intervention
