Today is the first day
of the rest of my life,
as I watch the seagulls
in my dreams-
soar above the blue horizon
while capturing beauty
in their majestic wings
It is a new day for me
though I have once..
and again,
slid down the mountain
of despair,
while pebbles scraped
the inside of my soul
and light escaped
through an open wound
Happiness
was always there
amid the turmoil of my life,
though I never saw
myself for who I was.
My heart
once sank in the ship
called 'Long Lost Soul'
Rejoice!!
I have found it once again,
and I do not have to wait
for the fruit of the seasons.
Each new day is glorious,
when striving is on
the forefront of my dreams
