Heights Never Scorned

Saturating my world
Is your presence-
A light upon stars
Never withering my heart
True happiness arrives
and it costs nothing-
while our freedom unwinds
like the sands of the sea
A guiding light
Surrounds my soul-
As you speak of words
Wrapped in passion
You are a true friend
and the night travels long-
To places found unheard of
By most lovers
A cry in the night
Is your satisfied love-
As we take ourselves
To heights never scorned
