We lay in the meadow
It was a picnic
Fine wine and crackers
Delighted our palettes
You caressed my soul
I listened and waited
for your hugs to find
more moments of passion
I reached for your hand
You glided your fingers
through long golden strands
of freshly washed hair
You sang to my heart
The birds were watching
We became new faces
as our senses were filled
As a child I dreamed
of men like white knights
A pauper's daughter
with a prince of love
