The falling winter snow makes not a sound
A storm, it dances with its tiptoe feet
Like tickets for a show that can't be found
Sensation to our senses we do greet
To desert children snow is not around
They only know the sweat within the heat
It's like the tasting of a candy sweet
When snowflakes show their faces on the ground
So use your shovels wisely as you stare
Upon the work before you just be glad
You know no desert mountains that are bare
No seeing of white snow would make you sad
To us the glowing snowcaps are so rare
We only see the snowmen in our heads!
