The dandelion let our hearts believe
Our wishes on the seeds would all come true
When others laughed our souls became unglued
We told ourselves our wish we would receive
The wishing flower gave us hope to see
Our dreams would be before us as we blew
As children we knew better as we grew
Our woven truths are like a basket weave
To look back on our lives and think of when
We had no other hopes when they were gone
We had to take a look from deep within
and our lives became just like a violin
The bow goes back and forth but now and then
Our notes get lost when playing good old songs…
