I have seen the gulls in flight above the sea
My sandcastles lie there, etched in sand
And I think of you, and your love
And how you always wait…patiently
For my return, with open arms
My castles from the past…
Were made, by trembling hands
I feared the wind, and the ocean tide
And it taught me great lessons-about trust
True happiness comes from deep within
I see old footprints-once trekked
Upon by lovers, separated by disparity
Like rocks crashed upon by waves,
The tides have a continuous journey-
And our lives…flow, though sometimes with tears
The ocean is my long lost friend
And he teaches me about existence…and you.
We shall live a long time together, you and I
Perhaps, even beyond eternity…
Our souls remain joined..by an immortal union
