As I watch the hours slip by

I read aloud her letters and cards.

Telling of what time means to her.

She shares her dreams and needs

as life ticks on. With each passing

day time takes it toll. Whether that toll

is heavy or light time only knows.

The echo of the hour resonates throughout

the day reminding them of a better hour and a

better day to come. Time does seem to drag

on when all you do is watch the clock.

The future of time is meaningless when you

don’t make the most of the present hour.

Making each hour and each day count toward

your dreams causes time to stand still as we both

relish in the present.

The future will present itself when it is least

expected. Time is ever moving. Time is ever

changing and love is constantly growing

as life ticks on by.
