Shadowed stilettoes silence the night
As she moves with haste and purpose.
For too long she has lived in the shadows.
Her life is full and her need is great.
Time is the great equalizer of all things good and evil.
Only steps softly sauntered with grace gives her peace.
The elegance of moon and stars hold her still.
Her shadow moves by choices only she makes.
The joy she feels as she purposes the night grows
             deep as time lessons her fright.
She faces fences and boundaries built
             by others to reign her in.
Her shadow has been to every spot within the fence.
Now she moves silently through the dark.
Knowing time has reason for all things.
She wonders where her shadow will go and what
             it will see.
She wonders.
