The Coming of Dawn

There is a magical connection with the dark as the dawn casts its first smile. That fine line between light and dark is the dawn of new life.

The darkest hour besets the Dawn

as the first hues of red, yellow, and

orange shred the dark like shards of

colored glass twinkling in her eyes.

The darkness holds fast as clouds taint

her growing light. Rays of hope for a

brighter day hang in the balance. A

veil of desire embellishes the night as

glowing embers of passion release fiery

darts that loft high into the dark clouds.

Dancing fairies carried by warm southern

winds seed the taint of the clouds with

radiating heat to dissipate the darkness.

Crested as if endless rainbows culminate

in unison to usher in the day, the wind

sweeps away the clouds to tuck the night

in to rest somewhere else. The dawn breaks

as the wind arches to spread its warmth

within her embrace. Fueled by the glowing

embers, Dawn comes sheathed in satins and

silks as the wind twirls and leaves her naked.

The pureness of her light is cast on good and

evil. The good relishes her heat and the evil

is consumed. The dawn embeds the wind

as though kissed with her heat to be carried

away. The wind moans softly as the Dawn comes.

This is very beautiful, Randy. So descriptive, like all your poetry.
I especially liked this......"Dancing fairies carried by warm southern winds seed the taint of the clouds with radiating heat to dissipate the darkness" You are a master at writing romantic poetry. Just...lovely!
