Tucked Away Smile

A blessed friend is indeed as easy as one, two, three when on your lips is the smile i see.

As my head touched the feather filled down pillows,

I tucked my smile in with me to rest. Your sweet words tolled

grinning bells, eclipsed only by your smile. That infectious

elixir of magical bliss across your face is a pure tonic

to the ills of this life. I feel that smile painted on the

mirror of my lips as I yearn for the light stroke of your brush

as it paints vivid memories for my dreams. I tucked away

my smile tonight alone with just my dreams, but I will

return again tomorrow to find just the same. You are so

very right when you said a friend is as easy as one, two,

three, that is blessed joy you have given to me. I pray your

smile closed your eyes last night and opened your dreams

to dream of sandy beaches, green mountains and all the

little things in between. I’ve walked a thousand yesterdays

and already a thousand more tomorrows past. I have fell, fallen

again and rose from the ashes once more to tuck away my smile.

It is freely given to those who can see with more than just their eyes.

It is a symbol of the spiritual freedom that burns deep within.

I will tuck away my smile once again as I think of you dancing

through my mind into the portals of my dreams.
