My Eve of Midnight

One day Eve will once again walk among the beauty of the garden in the cool of the eve of midnight.

The fluidity of her beauty flows deep around me.

Swirling wave tops cresting an artist’s canvas of color
as the horizon settles on my Eve of midnight.

I stand immersed in the warmth of her waters as my fingers run through her sunset colored hair.

Transfixed I am within her power as I know she is from man; a gift from His God.

She stands firm in his life.

Covering him with all her glory she moves silently through the midnight of his life.

Forever giving of herself she only needs his love and the power of his smile.

The apple of her life was just not hers.

He too saw that it was good and chose to eat as he bit into the flesh.

In that moment they became flesh; one flesh forever destined to be man and woman.

The toils of life blessed them with the ugliness that is all too often human yet in the midnight they walked seeking their garden once again.

For all things are good for them as the coolness of the sand sojourns with the heat of their passion.

Adam, he is not, however tried by many fires and burned by the heat of those who touched him, she accepts him just the same.

While darkness envelopes them, they are silhouetted against the light of the moon, he lays her down in lover’s pose.

She feels his heart melting as he enters her. Forever one to one, flesh on flesh, woman made for man. Man to love woman.  She becomes his Eve walking forever
through the midnights of his life.
