I may never know how you did it,
found the key to open this sealed door,
but the knob clicked and in you came,
like a rapid wave pounds the shore.
Your words washed over me,
cleansed debris of tides that came before,
bathed me in crystal clear waters,
and I revel endlessly within your downpour.
A touch from you removed all doubt,
suddenly, I was finally sure,
it was you that I had dreamt of,
you that I had waited so long for.
The magic of hope that never ends,
a song that called out like a lure,
you became physician to all my ills,
one splendid sip of you was the cure.
