The curtain of dusk had fallen
The Moon’s face shone impossibly bright
Clouds made way for the stars to view
The events taking place this night
A solitary man daydreaming
Under the weight and crush of time
Praying true Love would prove to be
More than a creation of verse and rhyme
But he had captured Fate’s attention
And the slow turning of Life’s wheel
Would bring him the requests of his heart
What had only been dreamed was now real
