Love is in the air!
It was a Day of great excitement Such as all years seem to bring When we’re impervious to the arrows That Misfortune is want to sling But this Day was vastly different One which I was not acquainted It was the Day I saw the Sunrise One that you, yourself had painted The somber clouds were pushed away And the foreboding, restless Sky Seemed to retreat before your brush As the Sun rose gracefully high Everything took on new meaning And disappointment no longer tainted My hopes, my dreams, my yearning heart For today you lovingly painted You painted with warmth and truthfulness You painted with care and style You paint with sublime sensuality Your paintings bemuse and beguile You painted my Day unexpectedly With passion and grace and insight The only request that my heart makes Is that soon you will paint my Night Copyright ©2007 Anthony Hall
