Walk with me

Through the valley

Here, next to the gurgling brook

Under the midnight sky

Where Forever is the destination

Where love grows

Along the path

Soft with wildflowers and grasses

Hold my hand and sing with me

A song of joy

To rival the lark's tune in the morning

For morning shall come

For you and me

And with it a new dawning

Oh, there...the moon!

Behold it's silvery splendor

Stop! Stop!

Dance with me

Do surrender! In the shade of the plantain

On a bed of moss

They found the magic

Of murmured silence

And before they fell asleep

Contentment tempered their kiss

With all that was good between them

Clouds approached Inky, fast, and ominous

A wind kicked up Rustled the leaves

And bent the boughs hither and yonder

The ancient plantain stood

Divided, yet united

Two trunks fused into one

Rooted so deeply

It withstood the onslaught

Thunder growled

Lightning split the air asunder

The couple woke and stood

She clung to him

He held her tight In the tree's shelter

Rain pelted them

Wetting hair and skin

Chilling and stinging

As the storm raged In supreme release

Of Nature's tensions

We're safe. We're safe.

We will have our morrow!

Let me heat your sweet lips

Let me caress your fingertips

August's whims

They pass

Rains slake thirst

Winds clear the air

And you and I

Accept the gifts

Bestowed by the elements

Summer soon wanes

Tonight it teased

When August comes you know season of heat is almost over, but I still sit outside and enjoy as many nights as I can. Peaceful and quiet around my trailer. When I move to efficiency apartment soon, don't know if I'll be able to sit out, but maybe on a balcony. A
high rise is the possibility.
